Eye Surgeons International is deeply grateful to Corza Medical for their invaluable support of our mission to eliminate preventable blindness in underserved regions. Their generous donation of Katena ophthalmic instruments has significantly enhanced the quality and efficiency of cataract surgeries at the Zimba Eye Hospital and Clinic in Zambia, enabling us to restore eyesight to more individuals in need.
The donated instruments have played a crucial role in elevating the standards of care we provide, particularly in cataract surgery. With these high-quality tools, our medical team can perform surgeries with greater precision, resulting in improved safety and outcomes for our patients. As a direct result, we have been able to increase the number of cataract operations performed, helping restore sight to more individuals who would otherwise remain blind. Dr. Brighton Samoyo, Chief Ophthalmologist at the Zimba Eye Hospital, expressed his appreciation for Corza Medical’s support: “I love the Katena instruments; they are of excellent quality and have allowed me to perform more and better surgery, helping restore more eyesight to our patients.”
The impact of these instruments goes beyond just numbers. Each restored vision represents a person who can now see their loved ones, return to work, and lead a life of greater independence and dignity. Corza Medical’s contribution has helped us bring hope and light into the lives of many, and for that, we are sincerely thankful.
Eye Surgeons International remains committed to our mission of building eye hospitals and training local ophthalmologists to provide sustainable eye care solutions. Thanks to partners like Corza Medical, we can continue expanding our reach and transforming lives through the gift of sight.
